Celticbird 80/900 AZ refractor (80900) review
Celticbird's 80/900 AZ refractor: fully multi-coated optics, WA 20 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, a 5x24 finder, a phone adapter, a carry case and an aluminum tripod from 20 to 45 inches.
Eighty millimeters at 900 mm is f/11.25. Long ratios keep a two-element lens’s false color faint and give high power with ordinary eyepieces: the supplied 10 mm gives 90x, enough for Saturn’s rings.
The kit
Two wide-angle eyepieces (20 and 10 mm), a 5x24 finder, an upgraded phone adapter, a carry case and an aluminum tripod from 20 to 45 inches. The optics are fully multi-coated. Celticbird promises 3 years of service.
On a travel shelf
A 900 mm tube is long, and the listing gives no packed length. It travels by car more easily than in a backpack. For hiking, shorter tubes pack smaller.

What observers ask about this one
What magnifications do the eyepieces give?
45x with the 20 mm and 90x with the 10 mm (900 / eyepiece).
Is it really a travel telescope?
It packs into a carry case, but a 900 mm tube is close to a yard long. For hiking, a shorter 70/400 or 80/600 packs smaller.
How tall is the tripod?
20 to 45 inches, Celticbird says, suited to seated adults and children.
