A plain red dot

A small red LED dot projected onto a non-magnifying window: look through it with both eyes open, put the dot on the target, and the telescope points there. Brightness adjusts; thumbwheels align it horizontally and vertically.

A Synta-style foot

The foot fits straight into Synta-style finder slots, the pattern used by Sky-Watcher and many related telescopes such as the Heritage 130.

The battery

A CR2032 button cell, not included.

Against the others

Celestron’s StarPointer includes its base and battery; Astromania’s StarPointer Deluxe adds four reticles and green light.
