Named for Celestron

SVBONY says this finder suits Celestron’s 80EQ, 80DX, 90DX, SE, SLT and Omni series. Its slide-in bracket fits the dovetail base used on those and many other telescopes, including the NexStar SE range.

Extended pupil

The design lets the dot be seen without putting the eye close to the window, which makes aiming quicker.

Controls

Adjustable brightness for day or night, and thumbwheels for horizontal and vertical alignment.

What gets asked before buying

Will it fit my Celestron?

SVBONY names the 80EQ, 80DX, 90DX, SE, SLT and Omni series, such as the [NexStar 4SE](/reviews/catadioptric-telescopes-celestron-4se/) and [8SE](/reviews/catadioptric-telescopes-celestron/). Its bracket also fits the dovetail base of many other telescopes.

What is an extended pupil design?

The dot stays visible with the eye farther from the window, which is more comfortable and quicker to use.

Day or night?

Both, SVBONY says: the dot is bright enough for daytime aiming.
