The 55 mm objective is the largest among the handheld monoculars here, and the exit pupil is the largest too. At dusk and in shade, that shows as a brighter image.
Both are included. At 12x the tripod is the difference between a shaky glimpse and a steady view, and the adapter aligns most phones with the eyepiece for photos and video.
