The bottom line The best-sealed monocular on this shelf, with an exit pupil that keeps it usable at dusk.
The exit pupil works out at 4.2 mm — not the 5 mm a dark-adapted eye would use fully, and better than any of the higher-magnification monoculars here. At dusk, which is when most people actually reach for one of these, that difference is visible.
IP68, with ten metres named. That is a rating with a definition behind it, and it sits alongside a stated nitrogen filling of the lens tube. The combination is what keeps the inside clear when a warm instrument meets cold air.
BAK4 prisms with a broadband FMC coating and a claimed transmission of up to 99 %. The prism type and coating label are meaningful; the percentage has no waveband attached and is reported as the maker states it.
Field of view and weight. The first decides how easy it is to find something; the second decides how long it can be held. Neither appears anywhere in the advertisement.
