EACONN AU-80 refractor review
EACONN's AU-80: an 80/600 refractor with fully coated green optics on a positioning gimbal with altitude and azimuth scales, K20 and K9 eyepieces, a 5x24 finder, a phone adapter and a backpack.
EACONN mounts this 80/600 on a rough-adjustment and positioning gimbal with scales on both axes. With a phone app giving a target’s altitude and azimuth, the numbers can be dialed in rather than searched for.
The arithmetic
K20 and K9 eyepieces give 30x and 66x: 600 / 20 = 30, 600 / 9 = 66.7. The optics are fully coated with green coatings; a 5x24 finder with a crosshair helps aim.
A phone adapter for each eyepiece
The adapter has two end positions, one prepared for the K20 and one for the K9, so the phone lines up quickly with whichever is in use.

What is K20 and K9?
Kellner eyepieces of 20 and 9 mm, giving 30x and 66x on 600 mm.
