Thames & Kosmos Planetarium Projector review
Thames & Kosmos's Planetarium Projector: a 6-inch dual-mode unit with a rotating star-map dome for the northern and southern hemispheres plus a constellation map, a second projector with four James Webb image disks, and a timed night-light mode.
The main projector is a rotating star-map dome. Thames & Kosmos describes its maps as astronomically accurate and supplies one for each hemisphere, plus a map of the constellations. The stars turn as they do overhead.
Webb photographs
A second projector casts space images on the walls or ceiling from four disks, all with photographs from the James Webb Space Telescope. Both projectors can run at once.
Night light and timer
A nightlight mode with reduced brightness, and auto-off at 15, 30 or 60 minutes: timers short enough for a child falling asleep.
Mounting
The 6-inch unit sits on a table or hangs on a wall.
