Omegon sells a very wide range of telescopes, mounts and accessories in Europe. Most of it has no offer on Amazon.com. On November 7, 2026, two Omegon telescopes had US offers, both from third-party sellers, and those are the two reviewed here.
The AC 70/700 is a long, slow achromatic refractor at f/10 on an alt-azimuth mount, with a 1.25-inch eyepiece holder and a stated maximum of 140x, twice its aperture in millimeters. It cost about $167.
The N 114/900 EQ-1 is the classic beginner Newtonian at f/7.9 on a light equatorial mount, with 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces and a finder, refittable with a tracking motor. It cost about $387, high for its class.
Honest figures: aperture, focal length, a realistic maximum magnification, and on the 114/900 a description of what the mirror shows, from Saturn’s rings to M15.
