The SkyMax 127 is a 5-inch Maksutov-Cassegrain. Sky-Watcher describes borosilicate mirrors with a quartz overcoat at 94% reflectivity and a corrector with its MHTC coatings. Maksutovs give high contrast and long focal lengths in a compact tube, which is why they are planetary telescopes. The Amazon.com listing does not state the focal length.
The mount weighs 8.6 lb and carries 11 lb, both published. It makes its own Wi-Fi network and is driven from Sky-Watcher’s SynScan Pro app; the SynScan PTZ app adds time-lapse and panorama modes, and a SNAP port fires a DSLR in 60-second exposures without an intervalometer.
Freedom Find dual encoders let it be pushed by hand without losing its alignment.
The AZ-GTi moves in altitude and azimuth. For visual use that is simple and intuitive. For long exposures the field rotates; short planetary video and time-lapse are fine.
A Maksutov’s thick corrector and closed tube hold heat. Take it outside 30 to 60 minutes before observing, longer on cold nights, or the image will shimmer. The listing does not say this.

The AZ-GTi makes its own Wi-Fi network. Sky-Watcher's SynScan Pro app on an iOS or Android device aligns it and sends it to targets; the SynScan PTZ app runs time-lapse and panorama modes.
Sensors on both axes that let the mount be pushed by hand without losing track of where it is pointing. After a manual move, GoTo and tracking still work.
Sky-Watcher rates the AZ-GTi for 11 lb, enough for most small refractors, Maksutovs and mid-sized DSLRs. It also fits most photo tripods through its 3/8-16 thread.
