SVBONY 68° Ultra Wide Angle set review

SVBONY's 68-degree ultra-wide set: four 1.25-inch eyepieces of 6, 9, 15 and 20 mm, multi-element, fully multi-coated, internally blackened, with fold-down eyecups.

Sixty-eight degrees

Four eyepieces of 6, 9, 15 and 20 mm, each with a 68-degree apparent field. Against the 50 to 52 degrees of a Plössl, that shows about 1.8 times more sky at the same power: Jupiter takes longer to drift out, and clusters have room around them.

The build

Multi-element, fully multi-coated with broadband green film, described as highly achromatic. The housings are black anodized aluminum, internally blackened, with fold-down rubber eyeguards.

The spread

On a 1000 mm telescope: 50x, 67x, 111x and 167x. A low-power eyepiece above 20 mm would round it out.

What is not here

No Barlow, filters or case, and no element count or eye relief.

Against the Gold Line

SVBONY’s Gold Line set has the same four focal lengths at 66 degrees. On November 7, 2026 it cost $124.99 against $134.99 here.

What observers ask about this one

What does a 68° field change?

The same magnification shows more sky. Against a 50° Plössl of the same focal length, a 68° eyepiece frames about 1.8 times the area, so planets drift across the view more slowly and clusters sit in a wider setting.

Will they work with glasses?

The eyecups fold down for eyeglass wearers, SVBONY says; it does not publish eye relief.

68° or 66° Gold Line?

Same focal lengths. The [Gold Line set](/reviews/eyepiece-sets-svbony/) is 66° and was $10 cheaper on November 7, 2026; two degrees are hard to notice.
