A licensed badge on beginner telescopes
National Geographic licenses its name to telescope makers. The four products on this site are beginner reflectors, and the badge says nothing about their optics or mounts.
The 114/500 reflector is a fast f/4.4 Newtonian with 19x and 51.5x eyepieces, a full-size tripod and a phone adapter, at about $75 on November 7, 2026. The 114/900 AZ is a slower f/7.9 Newtonian with three eyepieces and a 3x Barlow. The 76/700 EQ is a small f/9.2 reflector whose listing states a realistic 152x maximum. The 76/350 Compact is a tabletop Dobsonian with two eyepieces, a Barlow and a Moon filter.
The 114/900 and the 76/700 had no offer on Amazon.com when checked. The 76/350 was listed by a third party at about $390, many times what a 76 mm tabletop telescope usually costs.
Aperture and focal length, on all four, which is what decides the magnifications. The 114/900’s 675x figure comes from its 4 mm eyepiece in the 3x Barlow, far past what 114 mm can use.
