The bottom line The efficient way to equip a first telescope, with a T2 thread named properly and six filters described by colour alone.
Six, eight, twelve and a half, twenty and forty millimetres. On any telescope those five cover the range from finding to planetary detail, and buying them together costs less than assembling them one at a time. All are multi-coated Plössls in 1.25 in barrels.
A 40 mm eyepiece in a 1.25 in barrel is limited by the field stop the barrel can pass: the true field stops widening even though the magnification keeps falling. The listing does not mention it, and it is the reason 2 in barrels exist.
Five colours plus a polariser and a Moon filter. None carries a transmission figure or a passband, which is the norm on this shelf and the reason this site keeps saying so. The polariser — which is variable in some sets and not described as such here — and the Moon filter are the two most owners keep using.
M42 × 0.75. That is the thread, written as a thread, and it means a T-ring and a camera body attach without guesswork. Very few listings at this price are that precise.

A few are. Their effect depends heavily on aperture: on a small telescope a deep colour filter removes more light than the extra contrast is worth. The polarising and Moon filters in this set will see far more use than the five colours.
A T-ring for a specific camera screws onto it, and the camera then sits at prime focus with the Barlow amplifying the image. M42 × 0.75 is the standard thread, and naming it is what makes the chain predictable.
