Four elements in two groups. The Plössl has been the standard amateur eyepiece for decades because it is sharp across a moderate field, tolerant of a range of focal ratios, and cheap to make well. Nothing here departs from that.
Barrel size, coating, filter thread, element count. All four are real specifications, and together they are enough to know this eyepiece will fit any modern telescope and take any 1.25 in filter.
Apparent field and eye relief. Those are the two figures that decide how a 10 mm eyepiece feels to use, and a short-focal-length Plössl is precisely where eye relief becomes uncomfortable.
As a replacement for the 10 mm eyepiece supplied with a beginner’s telescope, which is usually the weakest optic in the box. It is not an upgrade to a premium eyepiece; it is a correction of a poor one.

Divide your telescope’s focal length by 10. A 900 mm telescope gives 90x; a 400 mm gives 40x. The eyepiece has no magnification of its own, which is why none is printed here.
A Plössl’s eye relief is roughly proportional to its focal length, so a 10 mm is tight. The listing does not publish a figure, and spectacle wearers should expect to remove their glasses.
