A 50/360 refractor for children and beginners, supplied with two eyepieces, a 1.5x erecting lens, a Moon filter and a folding tripod that packs into a bag.
The bottom line A genuinely packable little refractor, honest about its optics and optimistic about its magnification.
Small aperture, sensible ratio
Fifty millimetres of objective at 360 mm of focal length gives f/7.2. For a travel instrument that is a reasonable compromise: short enough to pack, long enough that simple eyepieces work, and slow enough that the achromat’s colour error stays modest.
Where the magnification claims stop making sense
The maker quotes 18x and 60x from the two supplied eyepieces, and 27x and 90x with the erecting lens in place. The first pair is arithmetically correct and practically useful. The upper end is past what a 50 mm aperture can resolve, and the image simply grows and dims.
What the resolution figure tells you
Two arcseconds is the theoretical limit for an aperture this size. It is a useful number because it sets expectations: double stars closer than that will not split, and fine planetary detail below that scale will not appear, no matter which eyepiece is fitted.
The bag is the specification
Telescope and tripod both fit the supplied bag, and the tripod needs no tools. For a first instrument that travels, those two facts decide more about how often it is used than the optics do.

What can 50 mm show?
Lunar craters clearly, Venus as a phase, Jupiter’s four bright moons as points, and bright stars. Saturn’s rings are on the edge of what it resolves. Deep-sky objects are essentially out of reach.
Is the 2 arcsecond figure meaningful?
It is the theoretical resolving limit for a 50 mm aperture, which is arithmetic rather than a measurement of this particular instrument. It is still more than most listings at this price publish.
