What it is for

A telescope has one finder shoe. A red dot finder, an optical finder and a phone mount all want it. This plate bolts on and provides a second dovetail position, which is the cheapest way to fit two things where there was room for one.

What goes unspecified

The dovetail profile, the hole pattern, the thread sizes and the material beyond “metal”. Those four are what would let a buyer check it against their own telescope, and none appears.

Against the alternative

The dual finder bracket elsewhere on this site carries two Vixen/Synta bases, names the pattern, and describes its screws. It costs several times as much and it can be checked before buying.
