Cut for one instrument

The whole argument for this bag is that it was made for a 200/1200 Newtonian rather than for telescopes in general. Nothing shifts in transit, nothing has to be packed around, and the foam is where the tube is.

The handle detail

Positioned over the centre of gravity of the packed bag. That is an unusual thing to publish and a real one: a metre-long bag carried off balance twists, swings and catches on door frames. Oklop makes the point explicitly.

Construction

Thick foam, a water-repellent polyester shell, a padded handle, and fabric-protected edges. That last item addresses where soft cases actually fail — the corners that drag on the ground and the seams that tear.

The cost of a perfect fit

It fits nothing else. A telescope sold on means the bag goes with it or goes in a cupboard, which is the trade against the universal bags on this shelf.
