The problem it is sold against

The maker describes it plainly: a clear night, the telescope set up, and nothing findable because the supplied finder is flimsy plastic that will not hold an adjustment. That is an accurate description of why red dot finders get replaced.

Metal, and hex keys

A metal body that holds its shape, and adjustment screws that need a tool rather than fingers. Both point the same way: a finder that stays aligned between sessions is worth far more than one that is quick to adjust, because the alignment is what makes it useful at all.

Four patterns

A dot, a circle with a dot, a crosshair, and a cross with a circle. Different targets suit different reticles, and on a bright object a plain dot can be harder to place than a circle around it.

The number left out
