Material, not a filter

What arrives is a sheet. Turning it into a filter means building a cell that holds it flat, fits the tube securely and cannot be dislodged. That is a real piece of work, and the whole reason ready-mounted filters cost more.

Optical density. A solar film is defined by how much it transmits, and this listing publishes no figure at all. Filters sold for use in front of an instrument and filters sold for the unaided eye differ precisely on that point, and nothing here distinguishes them.
