European beginner kits, sold in the US by third parties
On November 7, 2026, none of the nine Bresser products reviewed here was sold by Amazon itself on Amazon.com; every offer was from a third-party seller. Several were priced well above what the same products cost in Europe. That is the first thing to check on any Bresser page.
The JUNIOR 70/400 children’s refractor comes in a backpack with three eyepieces, a finder and a phone holder, and appears twice: once on the kids’ shelf and once, in blue, at about $48 more. The Classic 60/900 is a long f/15 refractor at 2.5 kg complete. The FirstLight 100/1400 Maksutov sits on an EQ3 mount, at a price that made Celestron’s computerized NexStar 4SE cheaper.
The Wave 10x50 and Wave 12x50 monocular are waterproof and gas-filled, and both publish weight and dimensions. The Corvette 20-60x80 publishes its field, close focus and weight.
A 10 mm Plössl and a 2x Barlow, both around $98 from third parties.
The figures are usually good. The price is the part to check.
