Why a seat is the purchase experienced observers name

A seated observer is steady. Standing, the head moves with every breath and the eye wanders across the exit pupil; seated, both stop. The detail that appears is not imaginary — it is what was always there and could not be held still enough to see.

Twelve steps, six to forty-five

Thirty-nine centimetres of range in twelve increments. On a Dobsonian, the eyepiece can move through that much between a target near the horizon and one overhead, and a stool that only offers three heights will be wrong for most of the evening.

The published figures

What comes with it
